Acclaimed redeveloper Adam Gordon (of 54 Bond, 92 Jane Street, and many other projects) is currently working on something completely different, a ground-up condominium at 560 West 24th Street designed by architect Steven Harris. The building is scheduled to be completed in early 2014, which means we're right on schedule to see some actual construction happening at the site. A tipster passed along several photos.
Gordon and company (he's developing the building with Dov Barnett of Tavros Capital Partners) are being secretive about the project details on purpose, so that no one will borrow their design ideas. The few things we know are that the building will have eight units averaging 3,300 square feet and that the retail space will include a "blue chip" art gallery. Among the potential buyers are families whose children attend the nearby Avenues: The World School.
